True To Size Carhartt
Love the Burlwood color of this shirt - stylish and comfortable. I paired it with the Burlwood vest and received so many compliments. Super comfortable and kept me warm indoors and outdoors. Fit is pretty true to size, as I'm typically between Med and Large in other brands, but I ordered a Medium in both this and the vest, and they fit great!

This is my girlfriends go-to shirt to purchase from Carhartt. Several are 5+ years old and its warm enough to go without a coat occasionally or works well as a layer

Love the new darker colors of plaid!

Overall I really like the flannel from carhartt as most flannel nowadays shrinks drastically if heaven forbid you throw it in the dryer by accident. I wear these everyday for 3 seasons on construction sites and other field work. By biggest complaint with the Hamilton shirt is that I did notice shrinkage when I accidentally dried one in the dryer, but the alternative of air drying and then ironing is time consuming. I'm glad to see that the newest batches of shirts are in lovely darker colors more similar to the men's plaid. It's a tough call when you need a work shirt that's comfortable and durable but comes in a ridiculous color like pastel pink or purple. I'd really like to see these darker and more earthy toned plaids carried through in the other fabric too. I also love the heron shirt because it's light weight but it's super annoying to show up on a jobsite in a light purple shirt to inspect somebody's work and meet with project engineers. I don't need pastel plaid and I'm always jealous of the men's options. I wouldn't show up in a pink hard hat, why would I wear a pink plaid? (And FYI I love crazy colors like that for outside of work but not while I'm on a jobsite, it's not a personal thing against pastel)

I have several (probably like 8 or 10) Carhartt Hamilton flannels from previous seasons. I live in these, and am convinced Carhartt makes the best quality flannel shirt out there. Unfortunately, the new style change this year was a big disappointment for me. The overall cut is narrower and closer fitting. The sleeves are tight and short, and the shoulder area is restricting. I'm 5'8, 135, 34B and my usual Carhartt size is small. When I tried this new shirt in a Medium, it was gigantic thru the body yet still weirdly narrow in the sleeves and shoulders. I have small to average shoulders. I'm not sure why they've done this to a perfectly great shirt that worked on many different body types. I realize they're trying to cater to a more fashionable market, but in doing so, will leave the customers that actually need functional clothing behind.
