When I first bought these pants I loved them; great fit, comfortable, and stylish. However, after a couple months of working in them (I farm) the material wore out and slowly deteriorated. One day the entire back pocket ripped down the middle. This not only happened to me after wearing them but also to my coworker who went through 2 pairs in this same way. We are both really dissapointed and wish Carhartt would make women's workwear as durable as the men's line. I'm sick of having to buy men's pants for the sake of material and quality- I am willing to spend the money on quality pants but if they barely last me through a season of work it's just not worth it.

I'm about 5'8, 130 lbs. Size 4 long fit well. Wish they were a tad longer. I also noticed the denim dungarees were just a lil tighter and shorter than the canvas pants. But overall a good pant. A lil pricey for a Chinese imported product tho. I'd pay the extra money for an American made product but it's either mexico or China.

I love them! They are like jeggings/workpant/all over town, pant. I'm disappointed that carhart is discontinuing them, so I bought 4 pairs. I hope they come up with a replacement that is this comfy. They fit pretty snug when you first put them on and then they conform to your body. They're a little odd at first, but once you let them adjust to your body, they are great. I have gotten lots of compliments on them.

Great quality jeans, the material is very sturdy. My only issue is that the waist band is slightly large, even though I ordered the smallest size available. I have to wear a belt to wear them. Other than that, I'd recommend these.

A gal cannot find a decent pair of denim carpenter pants. Anywhere. So I bought two pair of these in March 2016 and they are rotated into my work wardrobe weekly. The slender nature of the apparel makes the leg a wee bit too narrow to fit nicely over the outside of a pull-on steel toe boot and just a big enough to look ridiculous tucked into said boot. (Especially on this decidedly not vogue 50+ year old.) Fashion be damned, I wear them anyway - but I'm now down to one pair since last week the first declined to remain intact at the crotch seam while participating in our obligatory morning deep-knee bend stretch. Obviously the garment should be constructed of sturdier material and my physical training regimen should exceed more than a single morning deep-knee bend. I like the pants, but I DO wish Carhartt (or ANYone) would market the old boring denim relax-fit carpenter work pants for women.

I am a landscaper and usually use 'old jeans' as work jeans, but I was tired of never being really comfortable and ripping out knees with wear, and putting holes in pockets with my pruners. My Carhartt jeans are amazing, I love the double front - not at too heavy which I thought the double front might add, I love all the pockets (I admit I use one of them for lip gloss only), the rise in the back is perfect when bending over, and bottom is the just wide enough to cover my work boots and keep mulch out of my boots. Also, love the color, and somehow, they always come out the wash looking brand new, no matter how I abuse them. I am ordering another pair to give my current pair a break!

I have owned four pairs of these pants and all have split near the rear seam or pockets within 2 months (maximum of about 10 wearings). I really want them to work--I like the styling, they are comfortable, some pairs actually have deep pockets (strangely a few had shallow unusable lady pockets), the legs are slim but fit over work boots, the side pockets are functional for holding tools--but the lack of durability is unforgiveable. The fabric on the canvas version, while still not as durable as the men's version, is functional. See attached pic for a pair with two splits, which occurred on about the 6th (patched) and 7th wearings.

I tried these on in the store (but didn't purchase them because of the poor fit). So I can't speak as to the durability or quality. BUT be aware if you have a pear or hourglass shape (i.e. HIPS) this won't fit you well. It was really tight in the thighs and way too loose around the waist.

Purchased this pant hoping for a slightly more stylish work pant to go along with my other Carhartts; ordered same size as my other Carhartt pants, and they were very, very tight. Decided not to go up a size because the calf portion of the pants was also very tight. I don't want to feel like I'm wearing yoga or running pants in a jean, especially since I have a physical job and am constantly bending, stretching, etc. I like the styling/look/wash of these pants, compared to the other jeans, but they do not fit right if you are more full-figured for your size. Would ask that Carhartt consider making a "full-figure" line, as a size 10 for me at 5' 4" with some "extra baggage" is not at all the same as a friend of mine who is a size 10 and 5' 9" and slim.

I love these pants. I am 5'7, 130 lbs and order the size 4 regular and they're quite loose, I do it on purpose since I wear long johns to work in northern canada. My inseam is 30 and I normally wear a 6/26 in "normal" store pants. They're loose, not the greatest denim quality (too thin to be considered a proper work pant) but they have loads of side pockets and fit inside my rubber boots or outside my construction boots so they work for me.

Best work pants EVER. I work in construction and these are the only pants I buy! I'm 5'5" 125lbs and the 2 fits perfect. Durable AND a modern cut that doesn't make me feel like I'm wearing my grandfathers pants??? Wow. Thanks carhartt for killing the women's workwear game. The multiple pockets work awesome and allow me to now wear an annoying tool belt when I don't have to. Yes!

These pants fit true to size. I am a size 6, 135lb. Alaskan gal and was excited to see the improvements Carhartt is making towards women's pants. I originally ordered one size smaller due to review recommendations, but found this style is actually true to size. Had no trouble returning/exchanging them and shipping was FAST. The material is very thin and, other than the double fabric along the front of the leg/knee, I don't expect these to last very long :-( The material is very stretchy and loosens up throughout the day. Maybe as Carhartt continues to redesign their pants for women they will finally just make the strong, durable, good-looking men's pants with more room in the butt and a shorter rise from crotch to top of zipper/button enclosure -- these are still too high by about 2". One strange thing--These denim pants have a very odd, mothball-like odor. I ordered some overalls and some dungarees as well and those did not have this unpleasant odor. Hopefully it will wash out over time and with wear. Yuck.

I've had a pair for two years that is still holding up--although the cotton/spandex fabric allows for some stretch, I WISH that these were offered in 100% cotton, either denim or duck. Those would be the best pants in the whole world! The cotton/spandex fabric is not as durable as 100% cotton, and the butt area gets saggy between washes...Carhartt, please make these in 100% denim or duck--you will not be able to keep them on the shelf!

You can't have hips to wear these pants. I had to go a few sizes up just to be able to fit into them, and I'm not a heavy girl, I'm just a woman and have hips like a woman. When I finally could get them on they were soo tight on my hips and thighs, but baggy around the waist and SUPER baggy and unattractive from my knees down. I am so bummed. I have been looking for a pair of utility pants because I need them for work, and you guys are one of the only companies out there that makes them for women, and so I am very disappointed that they do not fit. I know some women out there have different body types and so these are probably fine for them, but please start making a pair of utility pants that fit curves, and are slim at the ankles and I will buy them!

A couple years ago you offered these jeans in a "regular straight leg fit". I loved them! They were also offered in a size 2. When I tried to purchase them last year they were unavailable. How are you suppose to get your boots inside the slim fit jean? If I wanted "fashion jeans" I have a million choices. Why not serve the people that are actually using them for work??

I love these pants!!! I'm a short and at the moment a little on the heavier side so had to order a 4 instead of my usual smaller sizes. These pants are especially awesome when I help volunteer taking care of 20+ toddlers, the knees get used a lot!!! The reason I'm writing this review is so that CARHARTT will know that the short smaller sizes should still be made/continued. The quality is great, the durability is great, I love the look, size is perfect for a short-4 (I'm 5'2'', 130lbs) and really hoping the smaller sizes will be available again once I need them. I disagree in another review that the calf portion of the leg was too big; seriously tired of twig designs for adult women!!! I'm personally not fat nor stout but yet have a women's body, aka curves not twig and that IS the case whether I'm a size 0 or size 4. The only recommendation would be to offer more darker denim colors.

I bought two pair of these pants at the same time and rotated through them during the work week (usually got 2 or 3 wearings before washing) for about 4 months. These pants were super comfortable (LOVE the stretch), had good coverage, and looked better than any other jean I've been able to find. I was surprised I fit into a "slim" fit, as I have extremely muscular thighs and calves. They do get baggy with wear, so I recommend buying a size or two smaller than you're used to. I bought these pants for the double front, which proved to be plenty durable. Unfortunately, both pairs of pants blew out in front, with tears in the single-thickness areas near the grommets at the front of the upper thighs. I suppose that was the trade off with a lighter-weight (extremely comfortable in summer) pant that isn't too big (i.e., perhaps super loose-fitting pants wouldn't tear)? Overall, I have mixed feelings about this purchase...probably, if I hadn't forked over full-price for them, I feel pretty great about their value. But at full-price, these "work" pants should last a longer. (BTW, other than the blown out fronts, these jeans had a lot more life in them).

These pants are amazing. I own other canvas pants and jackets from Carhartt. They tend to not be that comfortable because there's no stretch. They also lose their color very quickly and look worn out after a season. I bought these pants, along with the double front slim canvas pants in January. I've been wearing both through the season, it's now September. The canvas pants are already losing their color and feel very hot and not comfortable to wear in the hot, humid sumer. These jeans are so comfy, versatile, rugged, and they're not even losing their color! They also are nice because the slim leg looks much more feminine on me than the regular straight leg, and so I actually still feel like a female when I wear these jeans, a plaid shirt, and blunnies. As a farmer, my clothing gets thrashed. Regular jeans rip almost immediately. I hope these continue to hold up for next year, but they could be stronger, so I'm going to purchase another pair since they're the best of what I've been able to find. Another bonus: I'm super tall and most jeans do not have high enough a rise. These are great for keeping your butt crack well beyond covered.

I bought a pair of these pants three months ago to give them a 'test run'. I teach mushroom foraging and identification, and am constantly bending over and on my knees out in the forest either on my own for research or taking people out on field trips. They have gotten me through the spring season with flying colors and I have just purchased two more pairs to assure I'm set throughout the summer and fall. Why I love them: - Well fitted waistline makes it easy to bend over, squat and crawl in the dirt without having to do the 'pull your pants back up shuffle' when done, plus no worries about foliage getting down inside the waistline. - Lighter weight so long distances hiking or warmer weather isn't a challenge - Double layer front protects my knees and don't show signs of significant wear (which is saying a lot for how frequently I abuse this feature) - Side pocket with loop is perfect for my knife, other side pocked fits my phone snugly - Slim legged so no extra bulk and slim ankles means less brambles and sticks sneaking up my pant legs - They make me look good, I wear them when I film footage for my foraging videos and love how I feel and look in them (compliments on how I look when I crawl through the dirt are always nice). I also appreciate that they come in size 2, I would say they fit a little big to the average size 2 but fit right on par with Carhartt's sizing. To sum these pants up: Durability and functionality meets comfort and style.

These are my favorite work pants. They are lighter and more flexible than the canvas so climbing in and out of scissor lifts and folding into a ball for those tight corners is easy and comfortable. I wear mine 4 out of my 5 day week which may have to do with my durability rating. I'm definitely ordering more.

I bought these thinking that they would be a slim fit. They fit comfortably around the waste, but they are a much looser leg than I expected. I will keep them because they are comfortable, but I'm not really impressed by the fact that they aren't really very slim at all. If you want slim and stylish, I don't think these jeans deliver.

First and foremost I was very excited to see a product like this offered by Carhartt. The style of pants not only is conducive for my job, but my lifestyle as well. Online they looked durable, had the double knee, and seemed to be tight fitting enough that they wouldn't get in the way. I ordered my normal size, considering it was the smallest size they had and of course was pleased when they initially fit, but had some wiggle room...unfortunately wiggle room when spandex is woven into fabric makes for very baggy pants at the end of one wear. I have known that Carhartts bag out from previous purchases, but these were the baggiest by far, and I wish they offered a smaller size, or true to size fits rather. I feel that the size two fits more like a size six. I also feel that I'm already wearing out the double knee, I wish that the denim was tougher. Overall I love these jeans when I first pull them out of the dyer, but after a day of work there is no way I can wear them again. I do receive a lot of compliments on them, and if you're looking for something more stylish than durable then these are perfect,
