My husband wears these pants for work, and he has put them through the wringer year after year. He refuses to wear anything else. The "washed" duck fabric is tough, but still allows you to move, while the double-front gives you that extra strength where you need it. These are definitely worth the money and the added color choices are great. Fits true to size.

I cannot recommend Carhartt's Washed-Duck Double-Front Work Dungarees highly enough. I've never found a better fit in workwear, and their long tool pockets and hammer loop are now an essential part of my daily life. In the engineering industry clothing just does not last, and it nearly alway looks shabby or dirty after only a few use cycles - not my Carhartts! They've been used and abused in an unforgiving industry; and have stood the test of time. If you need quality clothing that is tough, clever, well-made, comfortable, durable, and looks great even after a hard day's work - just stop complaining and buy Carhartt!

I love the pants because the cheap wranglers were wearing out in the knees and pockets far too quickly. These are definitely made to last. A bit on the large side but I wear a belt anyway. Wish there were some 29 waist for sale. Bottom line is they are tough and the real reason I bought them.

I have used these as my go to work pants for years. The waist size does run small so don't get caught there but the length I have all ways been pleased with. The rest of fit is true to description. I think people .get fooled with the waist fit because they are used to jeans that stretch more but jeans don't last Carharts do.

Not going to lie, this is the best pair of pants I've owned yet.. Fits perfectly after breaking them in, but I have to let them air dry after washing or else they shrink nine ways to Sunday. Very durable front, no doubt, but I would say that the seat of the pants could use a little work. I can usually make a good pair of pants that I wear a couple times a week last more than a year, but these seem to have a curse of not lasting more than a year: the seat of the pants right between the two back pockets is tremendously easy to wear out! Other than that, these pants are my favorite from Carhartt and I feel safe to say I'm very satisfied with them... other than the butt problem..

I Had got 2 pair recently, both the same size 28x32. one of them fits perfectly, i could not ask for a better pair of pants. when i first got this pair i thought it was a little to long for me but fit perfectly around my waist, after going through the wash it lost some length. these are now my favorite pair of pants, and i wear them before any others and longer than any others. The other pair which is supposed to be the same size i cant even consider my worst fitting pair of pants because they are so tight they were a waist of money and unwearable. if i have two pairs of pants i got at the same time one of them shouldn't fit so badly that i refuse to wear them. Id rather keep wearing wranglers despite being lower quality then Carhartt if Carhartts fit is going to be so drastically different between pants of the same exact size.

For about the last 15 years I've dealt with levis axing their silvertab line, which was my high school go-to jean/pant. Around that same time, skinny jeans (don't get me started) started gaining popularity and even the fits that were INTENDED to be "loose" or "relaxed" started to slim up on me... not because I gained weight, apparently everyone else was getting terribly skinny all of the sudden and the manufacturers and designers decided everyone wanted tighter jeans. Nope... not at all. If anyone else out there is like me, you felt alienated. It's hard finding pants that fit my body type well. Silvertabs were cut generously to accommodate my round butt and thicker thighs without accentuating them and making me look "curvier" than I wish to look outside of the bedroom. I have missed silvertabs and scoured the world(wide web) looking for a vintage pair in my size, but no dice... until I shopped for carhartts based on my new employer's recommendation. She has a lot of STYLE, so I took her word and hit a "warehouse" where "sportsmen" shop in the area. I tried them on in the store and could have(but restrained myself) let out a gutteral moan of pent up pleasure after turning to the side and seeing that lack of visible bubble-butt. In my own little world, this was a MAJOR breakthrough. The best fitting "other brand" jeans/pants I have been wearing were almost all too tight, all washed poorly, wore quickly, and most never fit well after a single wash which caused a lot of tugging in the crotch and thighs when walking. My Carhartts DON'T TUG AT ALL. They really do feel more like pajamas than pants. The only other type of pants I can say fit well and look nice on me are dress slacks or suit pants. Can't wear that every day, all day... especially not doing my work. Not only are my b11 & b36 Carhartts a perfect "fit", they are handsome and the most durable pants money can buy. I am a fairly new Carhartt "user", I will be adding more bulletproof carhartts to my meager collection and then I might just stop buying clothes in general for a few years and save up for an extravagant trip, lol. If I do, I'll pack a new crisp pair of b11's in my carry-on, in case I meet a woman... a woman with a discerning eye. I've read some reviews asking for slimmer b11 and b36 pants, so they fit like the b01 style they usually buy. My advice to them would be: "Buy the b01 again, if that is your preferred fit." Please, Carhartt, do not change the way these pants fit, if retailers are only offering a limited selection, perhaps a small tag showing the various fits could be attached to the clothing, so consumers realize they have options, before deciding "the brand" itself is limited in selection, or before some might assume Carhartt makes one single fit, that changes on occasion. Again, please do not make changes to the fit, it's perfect for the majority and fills a huge void in the "curvy-manly-men" clothing category. I think awareness of the options and fit differences would have eliminated most of the low star reviews of these pants. I say 5 STARS and DO NOT CHANGE! My Carhartt b11's and b36's are the BEST, just like YOU! Thanks!

I have worn Carhart for years. The last pair of these pants I bought online were way too long. Today I went to nearest store and found the same thing. I have worn 34x32 for the 10 years but had to buy 34x30. I am worried that they won't fit well but I have no other recourse. If this issue isn't fixed or explained I might have to change brands.

I've worn carhartts for years and love the way the standard USA made pants fit. The length and waist size in these is identical however the bottoms of the legs are way too big I feel like I'm practically tripping over them at times. They were given to me as a gift by my girlfriend who knows I love carhartts because I've always worn and loved them I didn't even think to try them on before washing them otherwise they would have been returned immediately. Oh well learn from my mistakes unless that's the look you're going for. At least on the website they mention the "straight leg " fit.

These have a high waist and full seat and thighs. Easy movement. Indestructible material. Super useful BIG pockets. They also have nine belt loops in the larger sizes, which helps keep everything in place with suspenders without over tightening my belt. Second pair. My wife likes the way they look on me, if that matters. Wore these on Alaska contract two years ago. Put knee pads in knee pockets for kneeling on ice and cold metal. Helped a lot. Took pads out when I came back to the world. Trousers still look as good as the day I bought them despite rough and constant use. Buying second pair just to have a different color.

I picked up a pair of these on sale. I've been wearing several pairs of the USA made B01 version of these pants for years and have always been quite happy with the fit. These, however, are excessively baggy except for the actual waist size. The amount of extra room around my legs is somewhat frustrating and adds some weight. I'll be sticking with the USA made B01.

It's been several years since I bought Carhartt products. I love the idea of them, (tough, nice looking, work-casual wear) but the reality falls short. It seems the sizing has gotten pretty screwed up. I put on a pair of pants in sizing that I normally wear (34x34) and the waist was was way too tight, and the legs were way too long and baggy. I felt like I was MC Hammer wearing balloon pants. I am tall and slim, but not skeletal, I could have easily gotten both my legs into on one leg hole. For comparison, I took out one of my favorite pair of older double front Carhartt pants and laid them over the new pair. Sure enough, the legs were about two to three inches longer, about two inches wider, the crotch lower, and the waist smaller. I sent the double fronts back, but kept two pairs of canvas work pants and took them to be altered. It cost as much as the pants to have them altered to sorta-fit-better. So now I have Carhartt pants that sorta-fit for the double the cost. I am hoping it is worth it.

Have had 3 pairs of these pants for the past 3 years and I wear them almost daily. They are coming down to the end of their useful lives but I'm still using them. Sure they've got some holes and wear to them but nothing the sewing machine can't fix. I have been absolutely impressed by these pants, never had anything that lasted this long. They are definitely worth the extra bucks but if you look you can find them for a deal sometimes. Also the most comfortable pants I've ever worn. The only problem I've ever had with them is that they seem to wear holes on the corners of the rear pockets pretty quick. I've had that same problem with other carhartt pants too.

These are the pants that can do anything, and have a classic good look at the same time. I am a wildlife biologist and have worked in some thorny brush in my time. While everyone else has devil's club stickers in their legs, my double-knee duck carhartt pants prevented the stickers from getting through. I even bruise less with these pants, too, when I am working out in the woods. I keep my old pair for working on my truck and the new pair for on-the-job. Last time I purchased this product, it was still Made in USA...which is very important to me.

I find these pants to be excellent quality. They do seem to have gotten a little less durable over the last 5 years, but I imagine cotton is getting less durable itself, being grown over and over on depleted soil. These pants last me 1 full year of farming, gardening, landscaping, and casual wearage. I particularly like the faded look after a few months, and only wish they lasted longer in that state. These are the only pants I wear nowadays whether I'm out in the fields or giving a keynote. Gotta love your Carhartts.

I would recommend these to a friend who does not get down and dirty every day. I found that yes they do get softer with washings. So soft in fact that they wear out way faster than the stiffer but more rugged regular black and tan duck dungarees. I found out real fast that the material wears right through where my thighs rub together. Makes for a big embarassing hole on the inside of my thighs. Great for the weekend warrior, not for the daily worker bee.

I do remodeling work, and these pants (B136) are the toughest I've found. They hold up wash after wash and keep on going even after adding patches! Very comfortable fit. Hammer loops and tool pockets get used daily. They may feel a little stiff when new, but soften up more as they are washed.

As a veteran of the Corps and a myriad manual labor jobs, and one who has seen various workwear fade and fall into disrepair, I would very honestly characterize these pants as one of the better investments in my life. Second, maybe, to my wife. I have two pair (of Carhartt pants) and wear them constantly (perhaps to a fault). The double and triple stitching holds up. I have ended up eventually patching the knees and/or the crotch of most of my other trousers (often pants of greater price, and -now- very apparent, lesser value). Not my Carhartts. These pants are reliable. Carhartt definitely earned a loyal customer with these. I don't care if you are chipping concrete, hauling gravel, forking pallets into cans, standing helm watch, or installing landscapes . . . buy a few pairs of these freakin' pants.

They've been making them like this for years so they must be perfect, right?.. Wrong. The double-front is a waste of material and money as they wear out right above the double-front reinforcement and then, after around 6 months of use, you suddenly find you have a 4" tear over your top of thigh rendering them useless. Why not take the double front up to the waist?! Also the thigh pockets are hopeless at retaining even basics like a 12" rule and a pencil when you sit down in them - every break time you have to pick your stuff up off the floor. The only reason I keep buying them is that easily-available, affordable alternatives are hard to find.

True To Size Carhartt
I've been wearing these pants for a year straight. Ive gotten my money's worth out of these and they still have life as long as you repair minor holes, etc. The chapped double knee make these pants all the stronger along with the rivets and 3 thread stitching. Also the side pockets are great to through vice grips or wrenches into when your working. The only thing I didn't like about the pants was the cut, they were too wide for me so I brought them in but in doing so they are my favorite jeans. Take that Levi's! btw- Theres a reason they say Carhartt makes Cast Iron Clothing... I put em to the test!

These pants are rock solid and long lasting. I have just purchased a second pair after 4 years! The first pair have been all around the globe, seen a lot of dusty roads, gnarly oceans and fought in many a dirty job. The pockets and holders are just right for my phone, knife and wallet and can slip a tool or hammer in when needed. They wash and wear with ease cause I throw em in and pull em out! Highly recommend these strides.

As an Elevator Technician the fit is the best out there you actually wear these pants, they don't wear you. These jeans do not drag on the floor, neither are they short, and as a plus they let you move effectively and efficiently while at work.

I use these pants in both a welding shop and a woodshop and they have excelled in both environments. First, the material is very durable; I don't feel any of the heat generated by the sparks from my welds. Also, the material is extremely resistant to cuts and tears; in fact, I have yet to see any. The pants also have a ton of storage solutions; there's a tool/hammer loop which comes in very handy in the woodshop, and the right leg has a small pocket that's perfect for a ruler/ square (there's even one for a small cell phone). Overall, I am very satisfied with these pants, and will definitely be ordering at least 2 or 3 more pairs

I was looking for something that was rugged and would hold up well day after day in some rather rugged and dirty conditions and in various positions, sitting, scooting, kneeling, etc. Well, this Double Front Dungaree is it! Even after an incredible number of washings, it works. It works so well, that this is my second pair, not because the first one wore out, but because I wanted another color! And the best thing? My wife says my butt looks really good in these!

My son works as a welder, and these pants are the ONLY ones he'll wear. They provide an added safety feature with their double front, and the heavy-duty 12-ounce duck stands up to errant sparks and high heat. We've tried the lighter weight ones, and they are excellent for most heavy work. When it comes to working in the cold of winter using a welding torch, the 12-ouncers are the only way to go.
