they are tight ! For the first 2 days then they fit just fine, I suggest wearing them on a Thursday & Friday so your feet can heal over the weekend, first day was very uncomfortable, second day my feet were in pain and felt swollen, come the following Monday they were broken in and molded perfectly to my feet and were extremely comfortable, warm, water proof right up to top younger stitch and rugged, the down falls of this boot are if you squat down the bottom layer of rubber cracks at the bends after about a month, the laces break after about 4 months and the top eyelets for the laces are not deep enough and want to let the laces slip out( very annoying) . Other than that the boots are great, as with any new sector in a company you will find flaws that will need to be worked out so as long as carhartt is planning on fixing these problems its just natural. I am planning on buying a second pair soon thats why Im here checking now, just need the price to come down to about $130-140 since I know the pros and cons of this boot now personally. Hope I was able to help someone, believe me I was ready to ship them back the second I felt how tight they were. Its worth keeping them and going through the 2 day break- in period

"I picked the shoe because it has the same sole as the logging boot, but without the heel and not as tall. My foot is 11.5 wide, with the thick wool socks I wear I usually need a 12. With these I ordered the 12M and couldn't walk in them they were soo tight. Returned those and got the 12W's.... Still too small, and I returned to the store today..."

"These were great looking boots but unfortunately the carhartt size chart isn't close on length or width. The boots were to small. Not to mention I had to pay the shipping to send them back even though I went by all there information to get the right size."

The quality and durability of these boots is terrible. The rubber heal guard fell off within the first year. I switched to Read Wing.
We have reached out to the customer and shared the review with Quality Control.

I found the boots to be comfortable and they seemed to hold up pretty well, until one day the rubber portion on the back of one boot came off. It looks like the stitching gave way. The biggest issue was that there was no warning, the boot basically just fell apart. They were a couple of years old at that point.
We have contacted the customer regarding this concern.

Not recommended for wide foot
Verified Buyer
As of now I would not recommend for anyone with a foot wider than an e. Going to call customer service when I get home to see if I can exchange for something else way to narrow for wide foot.
