"I'm very dissapoimted in these boots. They are only double stitched and the leather is quite thin compared to other brands of work boots. The seams began to separate within the first month and completely fell apart within 2 months. This was quite surprising to me since I find that the Carhartt brand is usually of excellent quality. In my opinion, Carhartt should discontinue this product. I am a professional, full time metal artist, which involves working with a forge, welding, and grinding. I do not work outside."

The material from the tounge gets bunched up and digs into the front sides of my ankles. The tounge needs a loop on it to pass the shoe strings through to keep it in place.

"First of all I am a huge fan of Carhartt workwear and I wear their clothing every day whether I am working or not. I must say though that I am disappointed in this boot. I bought this pair of boots about 6 months ago and they have been very comfortable (after break-in) and odor resistant. However, just yesterday I noticed on both boots that the areas along the toe crease corners have come unstitched or have started flaking away. I've made sure to clean them off every day after wearing them"

Pros: Great looking boot, and design Light weight Comfortable for all day use Non metal safety toeCons: if you purchase these boots for every day use, Be sure to buy 2 pairs to have for back up. The rubber over the safety toe wears away very quickly when working on your knees. Wearing the boots everyday will cause the sides to split causing the boot to leak if wet. (Have 2 pair on hand for when this happens) I get about 6 months out of my boots before having to replace them

"I love these boots I have bought 2 pairs and about to buy my 3rd real soon they usually last me a year or so. Which is really good I work in a lot of oil and gas. I love these boots they are comfortable from day one when you put them on and hold up great. The waterproof aspect for me is awesome they really do protect up to the top I go through some deep water with these and my feet are always dry. I do recommend these boots for some good work boots I seriously only wear these all day every day I don't own another pair of shoes or boots. Well worth the money in my opinion."

"I purchased these boots on 4-9-2016 and work in construction standing 12-14 hours a day after about three weeks of wear they still blistered my heels regardless of the type of socks I wore. At the end of three months the sides at the toe bend area have split in many directions and by the end of four months they are loosing pieces of the outer material and splitting all the way down the sole area. I cleaned them about every two to three weeks and applied leather protection and still ended up with what I say is a boot that's worse than any I have owned in over 15 years. Now they are five months old and looking like they are over a year old with no cleaning or protection ever being done. I think a pair of Brama boots from Wal-Mart would have lasted longer and would not have cost me $144.00 Disappointed"

Less then 6 months old and side seam near toe is torn out, not waterproof anymore. I never thought they were breathable as my feet were saturated every day. Very stiff, even after 6 months, put huge callouses on the tops of both feet. Will NEVER buy again. I will stick with a goretex or similar liner that really breaths!

I am on my feet for 10-12 hours, 5 day a week, my feet are fatigue but don't hurt with the amount of time on my feet. I also have a pair of Keen 8 steel toe, insulated boots. I did a weight comparison the Keen's weigh 3lbs apiece, the Carhartt weigh 1.5lbs apiece. All in all great boot."

"I got these in the mail a few months ago and was a pretty disappointed from the get go. They look like you could just grab them and put them on either foot you wanted, and you just might be able to do that if you swapped the insoles. The eyelets don't bite the laces when you are trying to get them tight so the laces always slip and loosen and when you do finally get them tight your feet still feel unstable because there is too much room around the midsole and your toes leaving you with a sloppy fit.I will say that the padding is an okay feature, although it isn't very aesthetically pleasing. The soles seem to have decent grip and the composite toe doesn't pinch your toes when you bend down which is nice.Overall, I think boots are a personal thing and I don't think that I would purchase these but what didn't work for me might be perfect for you. If you see them in a store try them on, you might be surprised at how they fit your feet."

Wore them second day and the right boots left side of heel rubing a sore on my heel right where the boot is sewn together . The quality is Ok there is a lot of extra glue on the boot where the soles and the leather meets."

"I have really enjoyed these boots for the last couple of months now. When I first received them and viewed them I was somewhat taken aback by their appearance and color selection. Since then, they have really grown on me both figuratively and literally. The appearance belies their ruggedness and ability to withstand punishment in many different work environments and the color does a good job of shrugging off the marred look they could begin to get over time like some competitors do.When I first put them on, the stiff neck allowing my foot to slide right in was a great start and it has continued that way to this very day. That feature alone really tops my list as many boots over time get floppy and you have to bend over and pull on them slide them on. The lacing system is pretty good though I would prefer to have all eyelets to the top and the laces I would like to see be some material more substantial to grip onto though they are very durable and show no signs of wear whatsoever after much abuse. The tongue is very comfortable and fits so well one would almost not know it were there and that the shoe was form fitted. The wear of the shoes and their fit was pretty good and comfortable. One time I even accidentally had a garden tractor roll over my toes in these. Not a problem as there was no deformation in it and it held up as well as a steel toe seemingly would. None of the exterior seams on the shoe have shown any intention to weaken though I am sure they have caught on the edges of many pieces of equipment and materials I have been working around I wore these in wet, dry, dusty, cold, and hot conditions and yet my foot stayed warm and comfortable while accented by my Carhartt Force socks. My only minor complaint was that around the rear of the heel there is a stitched seam that after you have been wearing these for many hours you can begin to feel. Now that could well be due to the break in period of any boots and that I will admit I did begin to notice it less as time went on but it does deserve looking into. Overall I am very happy with these as compared to Timberland's, Wolverines, and a few others I have worn over the years and I think you will be as well."

I have been wearing the boots for several months now and found them to be very comfortable. I wore them at work, while remodeling a bathroom and while working as a volunteer from my company in Texas on flood restoration work. My feet are generally run very hot in my normal boots but are noticeably cooler in these Work Force boots. I have worked several days in the rain and they kept my feet nice and dry. All in all I am very impressed with these boots-very light yet sturdy. I would reccomend them to anybody looking for new boots.

"I have worn these boots every day except to church on Sunday since I received them! But now that the weather is to hot for long pants, I have started wearing my sneakers again .Now that I've been wearing my sneakers for a couple of weeks I have realized just how comfortable my boots really are. They are more comfortable then my work Sneakers. I believe the my feet sweat less in the boots and my legs get less fatigued in my boots as well, much better arch support. We work on the water fixing and repairing Boats and Docks and my feet have not gotten wet one time.Working in the engine compartments standing in Oil and Gasoline the rubber soles have not deteriorated at all, and they clean up very easily with soap and water. If it is possible to wear they boots out I will defiantly replace them with the same boot!"

Purchased these boots less than a year ago. I work in heavy civil construction and in these boots all day 5-6 days a week 8-10 hrs a day. Extremely happy when I first bought them, until this week and the side of the boot ripped open when the toe, side fabric and sole all meet and the darker brown fabric actually ripped open. An all out blow out. Too much damage to be repaired. I am torn to refer these boots to anyone that needs a pair to withstand the elements and last longer than a year. Wish they lasted longer - torn on if to get new ones or move on....

Top Choice for a Comfortable and Durable work boot. I have work several of the top brands (Georgia Boot, Chippewa, Red Wing,...), all of which are heavy and will fatigue your feet and legs by the end of a long day. The closest I have come to a comparison, is Timberland Pros. This pair of boots weigh less than half of what one of the competitors like kind of work boots. All of the others claim they are waterproof, my feet always end up wet, and wrinkled like raisins wearing the competitions brands.. I am on my feet for 10-12 hours, 6 day a week, I wear them out in the yard and field/farm doing yard and property upkeep.

The outer layer of rubber over the top of the toe wore off after kneeling on a wood floor for about 15 minutes. I replaced 2 pieces of plywood and when I stood up, both boots had holes in the rubber of the toe area. that rubber layer is paper thin and not durable at all. Its just for show. Unlike other brands of boots where the protective rubber layer is functional.

If your job involves a lot of walking and carrying, pulling and tugging, this is the boot for you. What i like most about them is the support you feel in the heel. This boot wraps around your ankle so comfortably that it seems almost impossible to twist or turn your ankle. The toe box is ample which makes them great in the heat. The fact that the boot is waterproof allows for using them under any circumstances. They are so light that you forget how big they are, they do look rather large. I dont want to forget about the laces, just tie and forget about them. A great boot, my favorite, i wear them everyday.
